The month of March marked a key milestone for AUS HEARTS, with our phase one health service consultation activities officially kicking off in Far West NSW. AUS HEARTS team members Niamh, Alison, and Anna were honoured to be joined by International HEARTS expert Prof Andrew Moran, who is on the AUS HEARTS Chief Investigator team and visiting Australia from Columbia University. As Director of Global Hypertension Control at Resolve to Save Lives, Andrew has supported implementation of HEARTS in 41 low- and middle-income countries. His expertise and insights are incredibly valuable in informing local adaptation of HEARTS for Western NSW.
It was wonderful to visit with local health services and connect in-person with the Broken Hill UDRH team and project partners the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Broken Hill GP Super Clinic, the Far West Local Health District and Thrive Medical.
